AI - How does it work?
How does it work? It’s a bit like going ‘hands free’!
Like the outdated Dictaphones, GP’s can focus on YOU instead of typing on the computer! The scribe records the conversation and creates notes for the GP. The GP copies the notes into the file, like all other regular appointments.
Do you store recordings? No.
Consultations are transcribed simultaneously while they happen, which means nothing is ever stored. In fact, the recording does not even have your personal details, because it’s ONLY a recording.
Do I have to give consent? Yes & No!
No – you NEVER have to agree to using the scribe. You can say “yes” one time, and “no” another time.
Yes – if you decide to agree to use it, you MUST say yes. The GP will record your consent.
Do I need to be an existing patient with your Doctors?
No, we would love to introduce you to our talented team of professionals, please feel free to book an appointment today.
Do you have undercover parking?
Yes we sure do! And a handy lift and easy access for patients who require assistance (we pretty much have a red carpet rolled out just for you…just quietly…).
Do I need a referral?
Not if it’s an appointment with one of our GP’s for a regular consultation. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with our friendly reception staff.

Appointments:
Did you know you can book your appointments online? Simply click the button prompts on our website Life – threatening emergencies are always dealt with promptly.
Appointments are always preferred, as accommodating patients without one can often be very difficult.
If you require more time at your next visit, please advise our receptionist so suitable time can be given to you or your family.
Billings Arrangements:
Some doctors choose to bulk bill children under 16 years of age and aged pensioners. DVA card holders are billed directly to DVA.
Patients with a current Concession Card are generally billed at a discounted rate.

Do I need a GP Referral for Medicare?
Yes!
The Referral must be valid for the date of your appointment.
Referrals cannot be backdated for Medicare.

We cannot book without the referral
The Referral is added to your billing to Medicare. If you do not have it, Medicare will NOT reimburse you.
Do I need to give a deposit to make an appointment?
No, but…
At the time of making an appointment, your credit card details are held within an encrypted portal.
Nothing is charged unless the appointment is unattended or cancelled within the 48-hour window before the visit.
However, once your appointment is complete your card will be charged.
Will I be reminded of the appointment?
Yes!

14 days prior a text will go out to confirm. Respond Yor N (only).

If you haven’t confirmed 8 days prior another text will be sent. Respond Y or N (only).

If no response within the next 24 hours (7 days prior), the appointment will be

Should you confirm, but then cancel within 48 hours of the appointment, you will be charged a $250 cancellation/non-attendance fee.
Does Dr Peter need the file from the previous practice?
Yes!
If you have seen Dr Peter at another medical centre, he needs your records transferred BEFORE your appointment.

Complete a Request for Medical Records Form using the link provided in the text sent to your phone, or

Email us at paeds@medicalonrobina.com.au and we will send the form to you.

Fill it out, sign it and email to the old practice. We cannot do this on your behalf.
Dr Peter needs this information BEFORE your appointment, and may cancel if the records are is not here.
