Physiotherapy Services: EPC & NDIS

NDIS patients are welcome to our practice, and we are actively involved in the long term management and welfare of their health. There are more than 4 million Australians who have a disability. The NDIS provides a significant number of Australians who have permanent and significant disability, with funding for supports and services. For many people, it will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.

The NDIS can provide all people with disability with information and connections to services in their communities such as doctors, allied health, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

The NDIS is not a welfare system. The NDIS is designed to help people get the support they need so their skills and independence improve over time. We are passionate about helping you on your NDIS journey, so please get in contact when you’re ready to begin.

Dry Needling:  What is it?

Dry Needling is becoming increasingly popular as a technique for treating a range of muscular conditions arising from injury, overuse and inadequate stretching. Treatment involves the insertion of solid needles as used in acupuncture, usually in or around Myofascial Trigger Points. The needles are used to release the muscle and increase the blood flow to the area to promote tension release.

A technique using Acupuncture needles to target Myofascial trigger points. You might have heard of dry needling by its other common names, Intramuscular Stimulation or Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling. This technique is used in the treatment of muscle pain, particularly pain related to myofascial pain syndrome
