General Medicine

Take a deep breath...
you're in safe hands now

The relationship between a doctor, nurse and you is a critical one for successful healthcare. Here at Medical on Robina, we believe we can instil confidence in you and your family. We want the very best wellness outcomes for you. We are proud of the Professionals that have chosen Medical on Robina to work from. They each come with their own unique flair and finesse for the work they do and are embedded in their craft, continuously learning and honing skills.

Finding a GP you trust and feel comfortable with, especially the nitty gritty,  sensitive topics & unpleasant findings is important. Your doctor will usually be the first person you confide in when having a health concern. It’s important that you find a GP you trust and feel safe talking to.

General Practitioners are doctors who have completed training in General medicine – their specialisation is as a “Generalist”. In some countries this is known as family medicine. They have extensive knowledge and the skills to work out how to manage all the health issues you might have through you and your families life. They can refer you to another specialist or an allied health professional if you need specialised care. At Medical on Robina our Doctors get to know you, your family and the community. They provide care that is most suitable for you. They don’t just treat the disease, they treat you as a whole person.

There are many reasons why you may want to visit your local Doctor, some may include:

  • Injuries and illnesses (but if you have a serious injury or illness, call an ambulance on triple zero (000) )
  • Maintaining routine care if you have a chronic disease, such as diabetes
  • Care during pregnancy & post pregnancy
  • Paediatric Care
  • Children Health
  • Immunisations & vaccinations
  • Mental Health wellbeing
  • Health screenings, such as cervical screenings, blood pressure checks and routine follow ups.
  • Medical Certificates & medical documentation
  • Nutrition advice
  • Preventative care & more …

At Medical on Robina we can arrange for an interpreter who speaks your language to translate over the phone or in person. If you have a Medicare Card there are also free services provided online for an interpreter which can be arranged by your Doctor prior to your consultation. We will need to know well in advance.
